Introductions

About the farm
Hacienda La Bonita is located 15 km above Marbella. Nestled among agricultural hills and small holdings this Organic Farm has been restored to his former glory. The main house is located at the top of the hill and is overlooking 30 hectares of agricultural land.
You will be surrounded by hundreds of Avocado trees, existing of four different types to optimize their flavour and richness. There are also dozens of Lemon, Mandarin and Orange trees + olives + pecan nuts.

Meet your host: Katja
Katja will be our host for the day, sharing her knowledge and passion for organic and sustainable farming.
In her mid-40s, Katja decided to branch out and with no prior agricultural knowledge chose to pursue her dream of running her own fruit farm. She wanted to create a place where she could reconnect to nature and live a simpler life. Where family and friends would find calmness and joy and be able to spend time together in the beauty around them.

Introducing: Carbon Pirates
Carbon Pirates was founded by entrepreneurs and nature lovers, Alisa and Sander. With backgrounds in Design and Science we aim to raise awareness about climate change in ways that are engaging instead of overwhelming.
We are delighted to be collaborating with Katja and to share her beautiful organic farm with you.
